Introduction Some customers may experience a condition where the rear center vents blow warmer air than the front center vents. A new HVAC servo motor and A/C amplifier have been designed to correct this concern. Follow the procedures listed in this bulletin to remove and replace the HVAC servo motor and A/C amplifier. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), applicable model and model year Repair Manual: 2007 model year Camry Repair Manual, Vehicle Interior Heating/Air Conditioning Air Conditioning: Air Conditioning Unit: Removal 2007 or 2008 model year Camry HV Repair Manual, (TMMK) / (TMC) Vehicle Interior Heating/Air Conditioning Air Conditioning: Air Conditioning Unit: Removal 2. Remove the No. 2 air duct sub-assembly by releasing the 2 claws as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1. : 1 1 Claw 3. Remove the blower assembly.

(1) Using a 4-mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and the cooler expansion valve. (2) Remove the connector and clamp, and disconnect the wire harness.

For TMC-built (CBU) vehicles: Figure 5. (1) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the air conditioner harness. (2) Remove the 3 screws and then remove the air outlet control servo motor.

(3) Using a 4-mm hexagon wrench, install the cooler expansion valve with the 2 hexagon bolts. Torque: 3.5 N*m (35 kgf*cm, 30 in*lbf)
