What is the Internet It s simply information and services available on millions of computers located around the world. This is called the World Wide Web (or WWW) When we connect to the Internet its often called Going on-line or Surfing the Web
What is Broadband Broadband is simply a high-speed connection to the Internet. Broadband speed is measured in Millions of Bits of information per second. Home Broadband Wired Computers and printers are Connected by wires. Wireless Computers and printers are Connected by wireless signals
Wired Network 1. Connect the splitter Filter to phone socket 2. Connect Filter to Router using grey cable from DSL/HPN socket 3. Optionally connect Filter to Phone. 4. Connect Router to Computer using yellow cable. 5. NB Fit Filters to all phone sockets in the house.

Wireless Network 1. Connect Splitter filter to Phone Socket 2. Connect Splitter filter to Router 3. Optionally connect Splitter to Phone 4. Note: Computer is not connected to Router this time
Wireless Network connect to PC Note the Wireless Network name (SSID) on bottom of Router Note the Security Key on the bottom of the Router You will need this information when connecting to your Router
Wireless Network connect to PC 1. Insert CD into your Computer 2. Enter the Wireless Network name (SSID) and the Security Key (lower case letters)
