Summary The datacenter was where the need for SDN first surfaced and was most keenly felt, but SDN is applicable across the enterprise network. SDN is the only way to achieve unified wired-wireless network experience that does not lock you with a vendor OpenFlow is the open standards way to do SDN (otherwise it becomes Vendor Defined Networks)
