Terminology Frontend: The section of your website that is public. This is the section designed with your customers in mind. Backend: The section of your website that is private. Only Admark and your authorized personnel have access to this. From this section you will control the content on the Frontend. Variations: In the webx system every product (or Item) needs to have a product variation (or Style). The product variation what adds the price, discount, Dealer pricing and other vital information to the product. Domain: Your domain it s your company s web address. Usually begins with www and ends with.com or other similar terminations. Example: www.admarkonline.com Modules: Modules are upgrades that are not part of the webx package but that can easily be installed on your website. Hardcoded: Hardcoded means that certain value or function it s been inserted into the code of the website so that I can not be changed without changing the program itself. You will not be able to change values that are hardcoded. Metadata: Metadata is the part of the code that search engines (like Goggle and Yahoo) read and store in hopes of indexing your website more effectively. Interface: An interface is what you use to communicate back and forth with your website (Buttons, Text fields, Menus Etc) 2/32

The Backend Your backend it s located at www.yourwebsite.com/merchant by example. If your company s domain (web address) is www.carparts.com your backend will be at www.carparts.com/merchant Once you go in to your backend you will be asked to login.
