The cloud enablement provider has signed a 20-year, 45,000 square-foot lease for the entire 10 th floor of the distinctive, landmarked 27-story art deco tower, for the creation of a brand new, state-of-the-art NYC3 Interconnection Center facility. In addition, the Rudin Family and Telx have created a strategic partnership whereby Telx will exclusively manage and operate the 28,000 square feet in the HUB, the building s signature meet me room which aggregates voice, data and wireless service providers in a single space. Overall, the deal brings Telx s total presence to 73,000 square feet at the property. Telx to exclusively operate the MMR Interconnection facility, within NYC3, and incorporate its interconnection portfolio of services by tying all three Telx NYC metro facilities together, via the Telx Metro Cross Connect network. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Established in 2001 as the meet point for broadband wireless as well as terrestrial networks, the Rudin Family created the HUB @ 32 Avenue of the Americas as the premier destination for telecommunications companies and enterprise customers to connect to and interconnect with the fastest optical networks in the world. The Hub also acts as the point of intersection for broadband wireless networks and broadband optical networks as a result of the installation of two 150 foot tall radio towers on the roof.
