We were responding to criticism of our 2011 article in Strategic Finance entitled "Whats Your CMA Worth? Although the reader had some valid points we re ran our analysis with his suggested improvements and none of them had a significant affect our our conclusions. It should be noted that this paper won the Lybrand Certificate of Merit award for being one of the top 11 papers published in 2011.
