After that the system expands in two directions as a core banking system reporting front-end thus it can be used also for reporting by business users in the Branch networking. And as a second direction - to develop and give more features for business analysis, which provide opportunities for intuitive use and systematic data visualization in real time. At the moment UniCredit Bulbank is the bank with the largest scope of SAP Business Intelligence tools with more than 4000 users. Provide valuable information As a complete enterprise solution, SAP BusinessObjects integrates all corporate data for business users wherever it is located and generated. Combining the functionalities of a single platform makes easy switching from one tool to another. Through the platform we can control the access to bank s sensitive data to avoid data leak. The solution, realized in the bank is based on two installations MIS и Branch Networking. The separation is logical in view of the role of end users in the application. MIS installation is used mainly by customers, focused on business analysis and on use of new modules of the application. Branch networking installation is mainly used in reporting role of front-end of the core banking system, used by employees of the bank branch network customer service, monitoring and reporting needs. 6
The intelligent solution The SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform was integrated with other bank s systems and it integrates data from the data warehouse and from the core banking system - FlexCube. UniCredit Bulbank has implemented two levels of reporting - Branch networking and MIS. The branch networking of financial institution consists of 4000 users and uses pre-defined real-time reports. Dashboards and "What if" functionalities are part of MIS and are focused to structures of the headquarters, which make plans and forecasts and need accurate and timely information. The BI application covers not only the needs for management monitoring and analysis, but is an integral part of the processes of servicing bank clients as well as those for operational monitoring and control. Reports have been developed, which allow the 360-degree view of the client. This reports is used daily by the sales and operational specialists in the bank. All information used by key performance indicators of various business goals is stored in the DWH and is presented as dashboards in bank s corporate portals. Users of BI at UniCredit Bulbank have experience with the BI tools and can independently search and find the information they need. The intensity of system use consists of generation of 1400 reports which are used in the branch networking, and about 1000 - in the headquarters. The number of consumers with access to the solution is 4000. There are also developed interfaces between SAP BusinessObjects and other information systems in the bank, which exchange data with SAP BusinessObjects through the webservices. The most actively used features are distribution of reports through various channels and generation of predefined reports for end-users. These functionalities allow central headquarter to utilize data for analysis and forecasting. Very useful is the ability to create dashboards for top management to visualize and to drill down data by different criteria. Through What-if functionality the management of the company can monitor key performance indicators in different areas and through widgets to have a quick and easy overview of the necessary information. Attract users The next step is focused on the more attractive visualization of different reports. In the bank are developed dashboards for Operation s department. Also, it should be established a comprehensive picture of all indicators in different segments of customers. Another dashboard, which will be directed to Retail banking department, will provide detailed information about the business partners of the financial institution. In this way they will be able to monitor at what pace they realize their goals and to find possible gaps.
