For Reaffirmation, each institution must complete a successful self-study, host an on-site team evaluation, respond to the team recommendations, and appear before the Accreditation Commission by April 2019. The following institutions were granted Accredited Status by the TRACS Accreditation Commission after completing a successful self-study and being evaluated by an on-site evaluation team: Ivy Christian College (9401 Mathy Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22031) Ivy Christian College (ICC) Accredited Status as a Category I institution. The Commission action requires that ICC submit a progress report for any remaining compliance with all remaining recommendations and suggestions by February 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation at the spring 2015 Commission meeting. Morthland College (202 East Oak, West Frankfort, IL 62896) Morthland College (MC) Accredited Status as a Category II institution. The Commission action requires that MC submit a Progress Report for any remaining compliance with all remaining recommendations and suggestions by February 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation at the spring 2015 Commission meeting. REAFFIRMATION Reaffirmation is for a period of ten years with an Interim Five-Year Quality Compliance Review (QCR). For the next Reaffirmation cycle, each institution must complete a successful self-study, host an on-site team evaluation, respond to the team recommendations and appear before the Accreditation Commission by April 2024. The following institutions were granted Reaffirmation by the TRACS Accreditation Commission after completing a successful self-study and being evaluated by an on-site evaluation team:
Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College (3701 S I-35 Frontage Road, Moore, OK 73153) Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College (HFWBC) Reaffirmation II status as a Category III Institution, with the following condition: That HFWBC revise its assessment plan to be comprehensive, including all aspects of the institution (Standard 19.1) The Commission action requires that HFWBC submit a Progress Report for any remaining compliance with the Commission s condition and all remaining recommendations and suggestions by August 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation at the fall 2015 Commission meeting. Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary (4130 Belt Road, Capitol Heights, MD 20743) Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary (MSBBCS) Reaffirmation II status as a Category IV Institution. The Commission action requires that MSBBCS submit a Progress Report for any remaining compliance with all remaining recommendations and suggestions by August 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation to the fall 2015 Commission meeting. Shepherds Theological Seminary (6051 Tryon Road, Cary, NC 27518) Shepherds Theological Seminary (STS) Reaffirmation I status as a Category III Institution, with the following condition: That STS end the current fiscal year with a positive change in net assets (Standard 17.1, IER 7) The Commission action requires that STS submit a Progress Report for any remaining recommendations and suggestions by August 15, 2014. The institution must provide evidence of coming into compliance with the Commission s condition by August 15, 2014. In addition, the institution must come into compliance with all remaining recommendations and suggestions by August 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation to the fall 2015 Commission meeting. Visible Music College (200 Madison Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103) Visible Music College (VMC) Reaffirmation I status as a Category II institution, with the following condition: That VMS employ only faculty who are academically qualified or qualified based on documented competencies (Standard 15.4, a., d., and i.) World Mission University (500 Shatto Place #600, Los Angeles, CA 90020) World Mission University (WMU) Reaffirmation I status as a Category IV institution. The Commission action requires that WMU submit a Progress Report for the remaining recommendations by August 15, 2014. The institution must come into compliance with all remaining recommendations and suggestions by August 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation to the fall 2015 Commission meeting. DEFERRAL Manthano Christian College (6420 Newburgh Road, Westland, MI 48185) At the meeting on April 29, 2014, the TRACS Accreditation Commission voted to defer Manthano Christian College (MCC) for Accredited Status as a Category II institution. The Accreditation Commission action to defer MCC requires that institution submit an audit report for the Fiscal Year ending May 31, 2014, by August 15, 2014. In addition, the Commission action requires that MCC submit a Progress Report for any remaining recommendations and suggestions by August 15, 2014. MCC must provide evidence of coming into compliance with all remaining recommendations and suggestions by February 15, 2015, and provide documentation supporting this for presentation to the spring 2015 Commission meeting. ADVERSE ACTION Ohio Mid-Western College (10765 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241) The Accreditation Commission voted on April 29, 2014, to place Ohio Mid-Western College (OMW) under Adverse Action, requiring the institution to Show Cause why its accreditation should not be removed. Based on their review, the Accreditation Commission found that the institution s non-compliance with the Accreditation Standards is substantively significant and immediately threatens the institution s ability to fulfill its mission or to provide a quality educational experience consistent with that associated with an accredited postsecondary institution. OMW must submit a written report which provides all of the institution s reasons that the Accreditation Commission should not revoke its accreditation. This report is in addition to any other report specifically required by the Accreditation Commission. The report must: a. Address all of the actions OMW has taken to remedy the outstanding deficiencies identified and come into compliance with the Accreditation Standards Page 3 of 5
b. Address all the actions OMW has taken to address the failures of the current Board to fulfill its oversight and fiduciary responsibilities c. Include a Teach-Out Plan d. Be received by TRACS within 60 days of the day this notice of the requirement to Show Cause is delivered to the institution If the institution corrects its deficiencies and comes into compliance with the Accreditation Standards before the first regular meeting of the Accreditation Commission following the meeting where the Accreditation Commission voted to require the institution to Show Cause, the Accreditation Commission shall remove all adverse action against the institution. If the institution has not corrected its deficiencies and come into compliance with the Accreditation Standards before the first regular meeting of the Accreditation Commission following the meeting where the Accreditation Commission voted to require the institution to Show Cause, the Accreditation Commission shall: a. Terminate the institution s accreditation; or b. Place the institution on Probation in extenuating cases where significant progress has been made toward correcting the identified deficiencies.
