Nineteen rural states across the country plus the District of Columbia make up RSAP. The first release of total population estimates at the end of the calendar year includes demographic components of change (births, deaths, and migration). Later releases include population data by age, sex, race, and Hispanic origin and give numbers for single year of age, different age groupings, and median age.
