GENERAL INFORMATION What is Social Development Network Community Funding? 1. Social Development Network (SDN) Community Fund 1 supports singles programmes and social interaction events organised by organisations. Programmes are organised to empower singles with the social and relationship skills and social interaction events are organised to create social networking opportunities amongst the singles. Who may apply? 1. Application for funding is open to all Singapore-registered organisations; not-for-profit organisations, public agencies, non-government organisations, grassroots organisations, professional bodies, and companies registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA). Proof of status must accompany application. 2. Application for funding is not open to (i) commercial or for-profit Family Life Education service providers and (ii) SDNTrust accredited dating agencies. What programmes and social interaction events are eligible for funding? 1. The proposed programme or social interaction event must meet one of the following objectives: a) Enrich, empower and equip participants with social and relationship skills through enrichment programmes for personal and professional development; and b) Maximise opportunities for participants to meet and interact with the opposite gender through meaningful and fun events or activities such as Camps, Sports, etc. Please note that a post event survey will be conducted by SDN one month after the event. SDN will email the post event survey to the participants. 2. The proposed programme or social interaction event must have a minimum of 10 participants. 3. All participants must be Singaporeans or PRs, aged 20 years and above. 4. Programmes for social and relationship skills (item 1a) must be delivered by subject matter experts. 1 An initiative of FamilyMatters!

5. Funding for all applicants applying for social interaction events (item 1b) must achieve a gender-balance of at least 60:40 amongst the participants. 6. All programmes and social interaction events require organisations to submit the registration list (including names, NRIC numbers, contact detail, email address) to SDN for ROM/ROMM screening at least 5 working days prior to the date of the programme or social interaction event. 7. The programme or social interaction event is by registration only. Walk-ins will not be allowed. 8. The following programmes or social interaction events will not be supported: a) Programmes or social interaction events that are religious in nature or proselytise a particular faith in its implementation; b) Programmes or social interaction events that are counseling or remedial in nature; c) Programmes or social interaction events that involve fund-raising; and d) Programmes or social interaction events that involve overseas trips. How much funding can my organisation receive? 1. SDN Community Funding will provide a co-funding of 80%, up to $600/hour, of the approved amount, or actual expenditure, whichever is lower. The maximum funding for a programme or social interaction event is capped at $2,400 per run. Note : The total funding, including sponsorships and donations, should not exceed the total programme or social interaction event cost. 2. The total funding, including sponsorships and donations, should not exceed the total programme or social interaction event cost. 3. Funding cannot be used for the purchase of vouchers, lucky draw prizes, photography service, videography service and/or equipment/furniture (e.g. laptops, projectors, cameras, tables & chairs etc). 4. Any contractual agreement in the delivery of programmes or social interaction events is between the organisation and the programme provider, if any. SDN will not be liable for costs incurred by either party in the event of programme or social interaction event cancellation. 5. All approved programmes or social interaction events must carry acknowledgment of SDN on all printed collaterals, using the prescribed SDN logo.

6. MSF reserves the right to withdraw or suspend funding in full or in part, or recover the disbursed funding in the event of the following: a) Wrong and/or misleading information is provided in the application form and/or supporting documents; b) Illegal or negligent acts that occur during any point of the funded programme or social interaction event, which have the potential to adversely affect the reputation of the Social Development Network, Ministry of Social and Family Development, any government bodies, public institutions, national leaders or any organisation/person; c) Content of programme or social interaction event is not secular; d) Proposed programme or social interaction event is changed significantly without prior written approval from MSF (SDN), and/or funding is used for purposes other than the approved events or activities; and e) Funding is used for purposed other than the approved programme or social interaction event. How does my organisation apply for the funding? 1. Funding application must be submitted at least 2 months prior to the commencement of the programme or social interaction event. 2. Applicant will need to submit application form via email to sdn_community_funding@msf.gov.sg. 3. Applicant must complete Part II of the Direct Credit Authorisation Form. Applicant must also bring the form to the bank to get Part III completed. The original Direct Credit Authorisation Form must be submitted at the same time of the application of funding to Social Development Network. 4. Each programme (Annex A) or social interaction event (Annex B) will require a separate application form. 5. Successful applicant will be notified of the outcome by email. Please note that successful applicant will be required to comply with SDN funding conditions. A copy of the funding conditions will be sent along with the confirmation email. 6. MSF s decision is final and we reserve the right not to disclose reasons for approving or rejecting an application.

How does my organisation receive the funding? 1. Funding shall be given on a reimbursement basis. Applicant shall maintain proper financial records for the programme or social interaction event and shall submit a request for reimbursement using the approved template, together with all supporting receipts/documents, including programme sheet, registration and attendance list within two months of the completion of the programme or social interaction event. Applicants shall declare all sponsorships/donations, if any, at the point of submission.
