OASIS TRAINING *SANTOS, BRAZIL

Whatever the problem, community is the answer -Margareth Wheatley Come join a guided experience of engaging communities in participatory processes with the implementation of collaborative solutions that can drive new practices in your work and personal life. WHAT IS IT? A unique opportunity to meet and get to know a community while expressing the best version of yourself and guided by an inspiring methodology. During this intense 8-day process, finalizing with the accomplishment of a collective dream, you will also gain more clarity about how to put your best in service of the world. The Oasis Training is an intensive 8-day course where you will experience the unique approach of the Elos Philosophy and of the Oasis Game. The course schedule is full-time and weaves together group activities and direct interaction with a community. You will see the impact of a collective dream being achieved using the Oasis Game in a challenging environment full of social, cultural and economic diversity.

The Oasis Game is a community mobilization tool, is free to use, was developed by Instituto Elos and has been applied by the Institute itself and by young entrepreneurs in various parts of the world. It is a cooperative game that allows for the achievement of collective dreams, using the resources and talents available, in a short amount of time.

WHY JOIN IN? Because the program is guided by an innovative philosophy that drives communities toward the accomplishment of their collective dreams, based on cooperation, shared purpose and a way of making things happen right away in a playful and joyful manner. You ll be asked to connect with your best potential, your highest personal aspirations (dreams) and develop skills that stimulate the formation of creative teams, visualize what is emerging (opportunities), and collectively innovate and implement solutions with fast and high impact. During the experience you will notice that: - focusing on what people have in common is more powerful than focusing on what separates them; - thinking about possibilities and dreams works better than thinking about problems

RESULTS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS: - Gain experience developing projects with communities using practices that encourage the engagement of different groups and leaders for a common purpose; - Experience a diagnostic process of opportunities starting with an appreciative view of the potentials and talents of the community, overcoming a view of scarcity; - Create a participatory design process for projects with people from different sectors and with different points of view; - Acquire techniques / methods that will enable them to implement solutions whether at work or in personal life; - Contact with tools that maximize the use of the intellectual capital (the best contribution of each) of a group or community; - Worldview: sensitivity to perceive opportunities that emerge from the connections between people and the environment; - Try a collaborative and enjoyable way to implement projects in complex environments, whether in a private or public organization, or a community (neighborhood).
