4 FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team and assist with the financial functions of the organisation. You ll be a highly organized person with a background in accounting, financial reporting and performing month end procedures around accruals and prepayments. You have a strong sense of initiative in seeking practical solutions and follow implementation with monitoring and evaluation. It s a very hands on role so you won t mind getting involved in all the detail. Your keen eye for detail and demonstrated ability to achieve business results through forward thinking will be crucial to succeed in this role. LOCATION This position is based in Collingwood, Melbourne. 4 For every year a girl attends school, the risk of her future children dying reduces by 5 10%

5 RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with financial accounting systems and procedures, ensuring they are regularly maintained and kept up to date Assist with meeting requirements of funding agreements Perform accounting entries using the Xero system Keeping track of the accounts payable and receivable Manage donations Reconciling bank statements Data entry Other financial duties as required Obtain an up to date national police check YOUR VALUES AND COMPETENCIES You have a keen eye for detail You re not a perfectionist but appreciate things being done in the best way possible. 7 WHAT S IN IT FOR YOU opportunity to build and manage this key role professional experience in financial accounting opportunity to develop new skills, meet new people and create new relationships within the non-profit, social enterprise and fundraising industry TIME COMMITMENT 1 day (8 hours) per week during business hours and attendance at monthly volunteer meetings.
