Magnetic Christmas Countdown Calendar Designed By: Heather Stevens October 2011 Who doesn t LOVE to countdown to Christmas? This Magnetic Christmas Countdown Calendar is the perfect way to help celebrate the upcoming holiday. It is created on a metal sheet so you can store the magnetic pieces on the back as you countdown. Instructions Step 1 Paint a 12 x 8 sheet of galvanized metal green. Allow to dry. Punch a hole using a Crop-A-Dile in each top corner. Tie a 19 length of Old Olive 5/8 satin ribbon through the holes to hang it up. Step 2 Use two 11 x 1 strips of Early Espresso card stock to cut out letters for Christmas Countdown using the Billboard Sizzlits decorative strip die. Adhere the letters to an 8-¼ x 1 piece of Old Olive card stock. Sponge the edges using an Early Espresso ink pad. Adhere to an 8-½ x 1-¼ piece of Early Espresso card stock. Adhere to the top center of the painted countdown board.
Step 3 Using the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers stamp set and an Early Espresso ink pad, stamp numbers 1-10 on an 8-¼ x 1 piece of Old Olive card stock. Punch the numbers out using a ½ Circle punch. Punch out ten circles from an 8-½ x1-¼ piece of Early Espresso card stock using the ¾ Circle punch. Adhere circles to each other and place on board to mark the places for the countdown. Step 3 Step 4 Punch out a Real Red card stock circle using a 2-½ Circle punch. Adhere 1-¾ x 1-¾ piece of Daffodil Delight card stock to the circle and sponge the edge with Early Espresso ink. Use the 1/16 Circle punch to make four holes total on each corner of the Daffodil Delight card stock and insert Silver brads. Using the Petite Pennants punch, punch out a scallop pennant from Old Olive card stock. Line the edge of the Old Olive tree with a 2-Way Glue Pen and apply Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Cut tree trunk from Early Espresso card stock with Paper Snips. Step 4
Step 5 Using Real Red, Bashful Blue, and Daffodil Delight ink pads, randomly stamp on a 2 x 2-½ piece of Whisper White card stock using the merry, star, and flower stamp images from the Pennant Parade stamp set. Use the Petite Pennants punch to punch out a scallop pennant from Old Olive card stock. Use Paper Snips to create tree trunk out of Early Espresso card stock. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Adhere to a 2-¼ x 2-¾ piece of Early Espresso card stock. Step 5 Step 6 Punch out a Real Red card stock circle using the 1-¾ Circle punch. Sponge the edges with Early Espresso ink. Stamp tree from the Pennant Parade stamp set in Old Olive ink on Whisper White card stock and punch out using the Petite Pennant punch. Cut trunk out from Early Espresso card stock with Paper Snips. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 6
Step 7 Stamp the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp in Old Olive ink on a 2 x 2-½ piece of Whisper White card stock. Adhere to a 2-¼ x 2-¾ piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. Sponge the edges in Early Espresso ink. Tie an 8 length of Daffodil Delight 1/8 taffeta ribbon around it. Use the Petite Pennants punch to punch out a scallop pennant from Old Olive card stock. Cut tree trunk from Early Espresso card stock with Paper Snips. Stamp the star from Pennant Parade stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. Use a 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere Dazzling Diamonds glitter and cut out with Paper Snips. Attach to top of the tree with a Mini Glue Dot. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 7 Step 8 Punch out a Pacific Point card stock circle with the 2-½ Circle punch. Punch out a Bashful Blue card stock circle with the 1-¾ Circle punch. Sponge the edges of both using Early Espresso ink. Adhere circles to each other and tie an 8 length of Real Red 1/8 taffeta ribbon around the circles. Use the Petite Pennants punch to punch out a scallop pennant from Old Olive card stock. Cut tree trunk from Early Espresso card stock. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 8
Step 9 Stamp En Francais stamp set with VersaMark ink pad on a 2 x 2-½ piece of Pacific Point card stock. Cover with Clear embossing powder and heat with Heat Tool. Attach to a 2-¼ x 2-¾ piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Use the Petite Pennants punch to punch out a scallop pennant from Old Olive card stock and apply Basic Rhinestone Jewels. Cut tree trunk from Early Espresso card stock with Paper Snips. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 9 Step 10 Punch out an Early Espresso card stock circle using a 1-¾ Circle punch. Use Petite Pennant punch to punch out a straight edge pennant from Old Olive card stock. Cover in 2-Way Glue and apply Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Stamp tree stand in Early Espresso ink and stamp on Whisper White card stock. Cut tree stand out with Paper Snips. Attach tree and stand to circle using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 10
Step 11 Emboss a 2 x 2-½ piece of Whisper White card stock using the Square Lattice embossing folder. Sponge with Early Espresso ink. Stamp the tree in Old Olive ink on Whisper White card stock and punch out. Cut tree trunk from Early Espresso card stock. Adhere embossed piece to 2-¼ x 2-¾ piece of Early Espresso card stock. Adhere 2-½ x ¼ on a strip of Old Olive card stock. Use the 1/16 Circle punch and insert Silver brads. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 11 Step 12 Punch out an Early Espresso card stock using a 1-¾ Circle punch. Stamp the tree in Old Olive ink on Whisper White card stock and punch out. Stamp tree stand in Early Espresso ink and stamp on Whisper White card stock. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 12
Step 13 Adhere a 2 x 2-½ piece of Early Espresso card stock to a 2-¼ x 2-¾ piece of Real Red card stock. Use the Petite Pennants punch to punch out a scallop pennant from Old Olive card stock. Stamp tree stand in Early Espresso ink and stamp on Whisper White card stock. Cut tree stand out with Paper Snips. Tie 5 length of Real Red 1/8 taffeta ribbon into a bow and attach to the top of the tree with a Mini Glue Dot. Attach tree using Stampin Dimensionals. Step 13 Step 14 Lay all 10 pieces out on one sheet of Stampin Up! Magnet Sheets and cut out using Craft & Rubber scissors.
