Advisory Team Dr. Azmi Omar is the Director General of IRTI Dr. Azmi is a leading academician, Islamic Finance expert and a frequent speaker at global conferences and events Dr. Azmi was previously Deputy Rector at the International Islamic University Malaysia, where he was instrumental in establishing a center of excellence for Islamic Economics and Finance Dr. Azmi holds a PhD in Finance from Bangor University, Wales, United Kingdom and a Masters in Business Administration from the Northern Illinois University, USA Dr. Ahmed Iskanderani is the Acting Director of Research and Advisory Services Department at IRTI Dr. Iskanderani is a Principal Knowledge Management and Information Technology expert who has led numerous major Knowledge Management, IT strategy and transformation projects within IDB and OIC Member Countries Dr. Iskanderani holds a PhD in Computer, Information and Control Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA and a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, USA Islamic Research and Training Institute 9

Advisory Team Yahya Aleem ur Rehman is the Division Manager for Advisory Services in Islamic Economics and Finance at IRTI Yahya is a Development Economist with significant experience and expertise in Islamic finance, strategy development, feasibility studies, business planning, capacity building and project management across Europe, Middle East and South Asia Yahya is a Rhodes Scholar and holds a Masters in Economics from the International Islamic University, Pakistan, a Masters in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a Masters in Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom Abdulmonem Addas is the Lead Islamic Finance Specialist at IRTI Abdulmonem is an expert in investment and commercial banking with over 25 years experience in advising clients in money and capital markets, business expansion, product structuring and development across Europe, Middle East and North America Abdulmonem has a Masters in Business Administration with Double Majors in Finance and Financial Markets from Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York and Bachelors in Finance, Insurance and Real Estate from the California State Polytechnic University, USA 10 Islamic Research and Training Institute

Advisory Team Dr. Layachi Feddad is a Senior Islamic Finance Specialist at IRTI Dr. Layachi is a Shari ah expert with over 30 years of experience in Shari ah compliant product structuring, conversion, governance, review and audit for public and private sector entities Dr. Layachi is an expert of Fiqh Academy and represents IDB as a representative on the Shari ah Board of AAOIFI, as a member on the Shari ah Board of IIRA, as a committee member on accreditation of the training packages and trainers of CIBAFI as well as a regular speaker at conferences on Zakat, Awqaf and other Shari ah instruments Dr. Layachi holds a PhD and Masters in Islamic Economics from the Umm Al Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdullahi Mohamed is a Senior Islamic Finance Specialist at IRTI Dr. Abdullahi is a Shari ah expert, market practitioner and trainer with rich experience in product structuring, conversion and, Shari ah accounting, audit and review Dr. Abdullahi has previously worked in Malaysia and UAE with Islamic Banks and advisory services providers and is a frequent speaker at Shari ah conferences and symposia Dr. Abdullahi is a certified Shari ah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) and holds a PhD and Masters in Fiqh and Usul Al Fiqh from the International Islamic University, Malaysia Islamic Research and Training Institute 11

Advisory Team Ahmed Fadhlan Yahaya is an Islamic Finance Specialist at IRTI Fadhlan is a Shari ah professional and practitioner with excellent academic background and hands on experience in dealing with Shari ah structuring and compliance issues Prior to joining IRTI, Fadhlan was Senior Vice President and Head of the Shari ah Secretariat and Compliance at Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia and provided Shari ah oversight across the bank s overall operations Fadhlan has a Masters and BA (Hons.) in Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage with specialization in Fiqh from the International Islamic University, Malaysia Mehmet Fehmi Eken is an Islamic Finance Specialist at IRTI Fehmi has worked on numerous market information gathering, analysis and assessment exercises at IRTI Fehmi is also involved in the managing of the Islamic Banks Information System (IBIS) which holds a wealth of information on the Global Islamic Banking Industry Prior to joining IRTI, Fehmi has worked in the industry with Albaraka Turk Participation Bank and Turkiye Finans Participation Bank in Corporate Credit and Operations Fehmi has a Masters in Banking from Marmara University and a Bachelors in Politics from Ankara University, Turkey 12 Islamic Research and Training Institute
