Tioga Pipe Supply Co Background: Tioga is a material solutions supplier of industrial pipe, fittings, flanges and related products for the Global Power Generation, Nuclear Power Generation, Oil Refining, Gas & Chemical Processing and U.S. Military Shipbuilding. With three locations in US and present in Europe Tioga provides competitive material solutions to its customers. Tioga has 130 employees with revenues exceeding $150 m. Challenge: Tioga used enterprise level software to manage business. In 1998, Tioga started using Baan IV with Dimensions extension (an Infor product) to manage its unique requirements. Software required unique skills which were not available in house. Moreover, Tioga required better ways to service its customers quicker and more efficiently. With slow IT turnaround time, Tioga was able to keep up with new technology resulting in frustration across the organization, including top management, line managers and staff.
