Message from the Director The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration introduces a new phase to the academic offering of the UFS Business School. The PGDip is a natural articulation route for the BML programme and is a prerequisite for the MBA programme, amongst others. In addition, it complements all other qualifications offered by the UFS Business School; a complete learning path starting at NQF Level 5 concluding with the PhD at NQF Level 10. Admission APPLICATION AND ADMISSION TO THE PGDIP IS DONE THROUGH THE UFS BUSINESS SCHOOL. A new group of students commences their studies every January and July. Applications for the January intake close 15 October each year and for the July intake 25 April each year. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Any three year Bachelor s degree at NQF level 7. Two years relevant work experience. At least 24 years of age. DURATION The programme is attended on a part-time basis. The minimum time for completing the programme is one year and the maximum time for completing the programme is 2 years. A student may apply to extend his/her studies with the Director: Business School. FEES Refer to the attached fee structure. South Africans citizens- Students with bursaries must hand in the original letter during the registration period. International students- No bursaries will be accepted from international students. CLASS ATTENDANCE The contact sessions for the different modules are scheduled, as far as possible, on consecutive days to accommodate students from outside Bloemfontein. Class attendance of 75% is compulsory. The PGDip is presented by a professional, skilled and experienced lecturing staff. STUDY MATERIAL All study guides will be supplied by the Business School. Prescribed books are not included in tuition fees. 2
