The Elearning Consortia CIG What is a WCET "Common Interest Group" or CIG? CIGs are a way for WCET members who have like job responsibilities or interests to share information or to work on joint projects. To join one of WCET s CIG, you do have to be affiliated with a WCET member institution or organization.
The Elearning Consortia CIG What is an Elearning Consortium? For our purposes, a consortium fosters inter-institutional partnerships that share resources to increase institutional capacity for sharing of and access to technology-mediated courses and programs. Sample services consortia provide: Offering joint courses and programs, sharing student services, hosting technologies centrally, marketing courses and programs, and offering professional development experiences for faculty. If you do any sort of sharing across institutions, you're in.
The Elearning Consortia CIG In addition to sponsoring this webcast series, this CIG has an email list to which you can subscribe and it holds face-to- face meetings at the WCET Annual Meeting. To join the listserv, email Sherri at sartzgilbert@wiche.edu.
