Funds for this initiative are made possible by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, ARRA, Child Care Block Grant. The purpose of this initiative is to provide comprehensive child care training to enhance the qualifications and skills of child care providers through a collaborative project involving Brookhaven College, Cedar Valley College and Eastfield College. These community colleges will develop and deliver a series of courses addressing the core knowledge and skill areas for both administrators and staff as defined by the Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers and the NAEYC Accreditation standards. ELIGIBILITY In order to be eligible, you must live and work in child care in Dallas County. You must apply and be admitted to the DCCCD prior to the first day of class. You are strongly encouraged to be assessed for Texas Success Initiatve fulfillment.
