Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient Treatment Outpatient Treatment Services are provided in individual and group counseling sessions in a non-residential setting. Average duration of services is approximately 90 days or less. Impaired Driver Care Management Programs Prior to January 1, 2013 If you were convicted of an impaired driving offense prior to 01/01/2013 AND attended a former IDIP/WIDIP, Phase II or MOP Program, AND had an Exit Interview with a LADC at that time, AND have established requirements for counseling, the old statute and rule applies and you should complete your counseling with a NH LADC. Please contact the program you attended for further information and assistance. NOTE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2013: As a result of a change in statute to increase public safety, individuals convicted of an impaired driving offense are now required to attend and participate in a New Hampshire approved Impaired Driver Care Management Program (IDCMP) for a screening and/or an evaluation to determine if there is a substance use disorder and to participate in treatment, education and/or recovery support services per their service plan (when indicated) within a shorter span than previously required. http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2012/hb0283.html First Offense An individual convicted of an impaired driving offense must complete an intake and screening at a New Hampshire approved IDCMP within 14 days of conviction. If the screening is negative, the individual will be required to complete an approved 20 hour Impaired Driver Education Program (IDEP) or a Weekend Impaired Driver Education Program (WIDEP). If the screening is positive, the individual will be required to complete a full substance use disorder evaluation within 30 days of conviction. If the evaluation is positive, the IDCMP will create a service plan, which may include treatment, education and/or recovery support services. Non-compliance with any of the above will result in a full license revocation time period and the driving privileges will not be restored until the individual has successfully completed an IDCMP. Aggravated, Second or Subsequent Offense When an individual is convicted of an aggravated, second, or subsequent offense in the last ten years, they will receive a minimum 5-day sentence in the County House of Correction (HOC) from the court. Any additional portion (depending on the level of offense) of the HOC time is suspended to encourage individuals to participate in the program, which can be imposed by the courts if individuals are non-compliant with any of the requirements. The individual is required to schedule a full substance use disorder evaluation within 30 days and complete the evaluation within 60 days of the release from the HOC with an IDCMP. All aggravated, second and subsequent offenders will have a service plan, which may include treatment, education and/or recovery support services. Non-compliance with any of the above will result in a full license revocation time period, full HOC time imposed and the driving privileges will not be restored until the individual has successfully completed an IDCMP. Oxford Houses Oxford House is a concept in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In its simplest form, an Oxford House describes a democratically run, self-supporting and drug free home. Parallel to this concept lies the organizational structure of Oxford House, Inc. The Oxford House is a supported, non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation is the umbrella organization which provides the network connecting all Oxford Houses and allocates resources to duplicate the Oxford House concept where needs arise. A recovering individual must complete a standard Application for Membership www.oxfordhouse.org/userfiles/file/doc/app_mem.pdf and be interviewed by the residents of the house he or she want to live in. Hints for acceptance include: (a) show sincerely about recovery; (b) emphasize regular attendance at 12-Step meetings; (c) explain how you can pay the equal share of expenses collected by the group on either a weekly or monthly basis and the move-in sobriety deposit (usually equal to the equal share of expenses and (d) be absolutely honest on the application and in the interview. If you are turned down at one house, evaluate your posture and apply again. There is no stigma or penalty applied by a rejection; it is merely the judgment of the residents as to inviting you into their home. New Hampshire Medication Assisted Treatment Programs M The following opiate treatment programs provide methadone maintenance therapy for individuals who are addicted to heroin, morphine, and other opioid drugs. Several, where indicated, also provide buprenorphine treatment for opiate addiction. The State does not provide funding for methadone treatment programs, but does have regulatory oversight of them, and neither funds nor regulates buprenorphine treatment providers. Youth Risk Behavior surveillance System (YRBS) www.cdc.gov/healthyyouth/yrbs The Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) monitors priority health-risk behaviors and the prevalence of obesity and asthma among youth and young adults. The YRBSS includes a national school-based survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state, territorial, tribal, and local surveys conducted by state, territorial, and local education and health agencies and tribal governments.
