This program aims at helping health professionals who want to expand their knowledge and advance career in public health among APACPH member institutes. ICUH regulations ensure that students receive a substantial education in public health and timely mentoring from the faculty and staff. Academic policies and regulations of the ICUH: The ICUH has charged the Curriculum Committee with carrying out the policies of the ICUH and applying these regulations, which have also been approved by the ICUH Board. Admission requirements: This program is open to students or alumni of APACPH member institutes with B.S. degree. Tuition Fees: The annual tuition fee for all students is $100. Curriculum: The curriculum for the Public Health Certificate Program for APACPH consists of three courses per semester, two courses from basic field and one elective course from the specialized fields. Each takes 16 weeks for a semester to 2

complete and comprise a total of 18 credit hours. Students can complete the certificate program in one year by taking 3 courses per semester. Use of Credit: All requirements for the certificate must be completed within one calendar year, beginning with the date the student commences courses. Credit-Hour Requirements: The minimum requirement for the certificate program is 9 credits per semester. Grade Requirements 1) Core courses Core courses for this one year certificate program are Epidemiology, Health Program Evaluation, Biostatistics, and Research Methods. The average of a student s final grades for these four courses must be C or higher (GPA>2.0), with no more than one final grade of D. Late assignments Assignments are late if they are not posted by the deadline and late assignments receive a 10% deduction for each day they are late. Assignments more than three days late will not be accepted unless the student and professor have negotiated and mutually agreed upon an alternative submission date in advance. Student assignments submitted after the last day of class will not be accepted. Academic Integrity: The ICUH is an academic community whose fundamental mission is the pursuit of intellectual growth. Therefore, it is prohibited for students to be involved in any plagiarism Intentional or unintentional representation of another s words or ideas as one s own in an academic exercise.
