An optional card allows eight more tape drives to be supported for a maximum of 16 drives supported by a single controller. The Modular Data Router includes a rack mount kit. For maximum performance it is recommended that two SDLT drives be connected to each SCSI bus on the MDR. For a fully populated ESL9326, two 2x8 MDRs are recommended.
