State, County, and City A state is a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government. A county is a political and administrative division of a state, providing certain local governmental services. A city is a large town (Phoenix). A capital is the most important city or town of a country or region, usually its seat of government and administrative center.

The South Also referred to as The Land of Dixie or The Bible Belt. The South region includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The South The region is known for its culture and history, having developed its own customs, musical styles, and varied cuisines. The Dallas-Fort Worth area has the highest population. Other major cities include; Atlanta, Miami, Memphis, New Orleans, and Houston.
The Midwest The Midwest region includes; Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Economically the region is balanced between heavy industry and agriculture, with finance and services such as medicine and education being increasingly important. Chicago is the biggest city in the region. Other cities include; Minneapolis, Detroit, Milwaukee, Omaha, and St. Louis. The Midwest
The West The West region includes; Montana, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii.
The West The region is culturally diverse and known for its free spirit, unique cuisine, desert landscape, and it s Cowboy Culture which boomed after Westward Expansion. The biggest city in the West is Los Angeles. Other major cities include Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, and Las Vegas.
