Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Courses Delivery Format Classes are delivered in a hybrid format combining intensive in-class weekend lectures and online coursework in the summer semesters with online study in the fall and winter semesters. For summer in-class courses, you attend class on Friday evening and Saturday at the campus in Toronto, two weekends per month from May through August. In the fall and winter semesters, you study at home via online courses with faculty support readily at hand. This format allows most students to complete the full program in 28 months. Application & Admission Information Admission Requirements The Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood is open to early childhood professionals with: / A minimum of 3 years full-time directly related experience / A high-affinity college diploma in Early Childhood Education / A minimum 75% cumulative average* *Applicants with a 70-74.9% cumulative average may be considered with the online submission of a Student Profile. How to Apply You must apply through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC), using the 105D application form found at ouac.on.ca. All programs are listed under the University of Guelph. The program code to select when applying is GHH. Deadline to apply: Applications for May 2014 entry must be received by or before February 1, 2014. Credit Assessment: Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) Your portfolio must be completed by following specific guidelines outlined at to demonstrate prior learning and professional experience. Credit may be awarded towards your degree based on your PLAR. An official transfer credit assessment will be included with your offer of admission. Mature & Transfer Student Profile If you have a 70 74.9% cumulative average you may be considered for the Early Childhood Degree Completion program with the online submission of a Mature & Transfer Student Profile available at. Tracking Your Application Once we ve received your application, we will send you your login and password to WebAdvisor. This online system allows you to track your application status and lists all the documents required. Admission Decision Upon receipt of all required documentation, your file will be reviewed for an admission decision. An admission decision will be sent to you by March 31, 2014. Offers of admission will be mailed with an official credit assessment that details credit granted toward your degree based on previous post-secondary study and professional experience. Accepting your offer of admission to the University of Guelph-Humber implies agreement with your credit assessment. How to Accept Your Offer A formal package will be sent in the mail that includes your offer letter, conditions of your offer, official credit assessment and next steps. You must accept your offer online through the Ontario Universities Application Centre website at ouac.on.ca by the deadline noted in your offer letter. Money Matters Scholarships As an applicant to the program, you are automatically considered for the Bachelor of Applied Science, Early Childhood Entrance Scholarship.
