Introduction Introduction... 5
Introduction The Taleo Enterprise 12C release introduced new functionalities that enable the creation of a career section optimized for users of mobile devices. Through a combination of functional and technical configurations covered in this document, candidates using mobile devices will be better able to search for jobs and initiate the application process. A mobile career section can be linked to a regular career section so that candidates who use a mobile device while accessing a job posted on both career sections will be redirected automatically to the mobile career section. This document presents the best practices for configuring a mobile career section and optimizing the candidate experience on mobile devices. The decision to either replicate the standard career section experience from a data capture perspective, or to create a shorter, streamlined application for the mobile experience should be a deliberate and strategic one. Most customers create a streamlined experience for mobile submissions. Some mobile-specific components in the Career Section Administration section is required. Although most of the existing features will work on mobile devices, it is recommended that you configure your mobile career section with limited features and selection options. By reducing the number and types of actions to be performed on mobile devices, you will improve the user experience. 5 Mobile Career Section - Best Practices Guide

This association is configured on the standard career section, not on the mobile career section and the property is called Linked Mobile Career Section. If you configure a 1:1 relationship between standard and mobile career sections, a Standard Career Section link will be displayed on the mobile career section, offering candidates the option of navigating from the mobile career section to the standard career section. If you configure a 1 (mobile): many (standard) relationship, the link will not be displayed. Application Flow Configuration Application Flow Configuration...12
Application Flow Configuration Creation of an application flow specific to candidates who use a mobile device is required. The main reason for this requirement is the need for mobile-friendly" user-defined forms. The form should consist of a single column with all the fields stacked in the column. While setting up the blocks to be used for the mobile application flow, it is recommended to: Enable the LinkedIn profile creation feature so that the LinkedIn icon will be displayed in the resume upload block for candidates. Keep the application flow short and easy while excluding blocks such as diversity, prescreening questions, privacy statements, source tracking, and avoiding long or complex forms. Use a single column layout while configuring forms. Enable the Job Cart this is potentially a very important feature for candidates who prefer to complete submissions using their PC but who feel comfortable with conducting job searches on mobile devices. Configure only the Job Title on the job results list. Do not enable the progression bar. Enable the Sending a Job Submission Acknowledgement Letter for Mobile Candidate action. This will send a specific acknowledgement letter to mobile applicants. Configuration An example of a simplified application flow for mobile career sections is depicted in the following table. Note that all career section blocks will work if included in an application flow designed for a mobile career section. Configuration > [Career Section] Administration > Application Flows Block Name Field Resume Upload Recommended: Enable the Profile Import from LinkedIn and/or Indeed feature. Enable the text resume parsing feature. This is a setting on the block in the flow. This feature enables candidates to paste a resume that they might have stored on, or is accessible from their mobile device. The pasted resume is parsed as if the candidates were uploading a document. Candidate Personal Information Education Work Experience First Name, Last Name, Street Address (Line 1), Address (Line 2), Zip/Postal Code, City, Place of Residence, Home Phone Number, Email Address Institution, Program, Education, Level, Start Date, Graduation Date Employer, Job Function, Start Date, End Date E-Signature Thank You Application Flow Configuration 12
