Conclusions The black currant cultivar Narve Viking was the best cultivar for orga nic production. This cultiva r ha d high yield, good juice qua lity a nd resista nce to pests a nd disea ses. But a lso the more disease susceptible cultivars Ben Lomond, Ben Hope a nd Ben Tirra n ha d high yields a nd good juice qua lity when grown unspra yed. The red curra nt cultiva r Red poll ha d the highest yield, the best juice qua lity a nd wa s most resista nt to disea ses when grown unspra yed.
