Thesis: Access Control and Privacy in Location-aware Applications Laurea in Scienze dell Informazione, Universita di Pisa, Italy, graduated with Summa Cum Laude Research interests The leit-motiv of my current research is how to use the notion of space and movement in novel application areas, by bridging computer science and geography. In particular, the main topics of interest are: (a) Information security. The research goal is to investigate how location data can be used to provide stronger control over the access to sensitive data (b) Location privacy. The research goal is to devise techniques which can protect against the unauthorized disclosure of location information which can endanger individuals privacy (c) Spatio-temporal data modeling, in particular modeling of trajectories (d) Application in geology and humanities. The latest interest is for the development of historical GIS.
