Building Cloud-Connected Solutions with Exosite and Texas Instruments
IoT Development Kits Exosite and Texas Instruments (TI) are working together to provide development kits that include an out-of-box Internet of Things (IoT) reference application code. These IoT development kits can connect and demonstrate cloud-connected application functionality, including: Provisioning Read/write Cloud processing Web and mobile user interfaces WEB PORTAL START WITH A TI CONNECTED LAUNCHPAD enabled with Exosite connectivity so ware to quickly evaluate, test, and prove promising product concepts. ACCESS DEVICE DATA IMMEDIATELY on the TI/Exosite web portal, a cloud-based web app that allows users to interact with device data and develop connected solutions. DEPLOY CONNECTED PRODUCTS with compelling customer applications and capabilities for remote management of an entire fleet.
Getting Started Within minutes of opening a low-cost IoT development kit, users can connect and interact with their device through a TI web portal. Users can then evaluate and prototype without the need to write any server or device code. The IoT development kits also provide users access to: Free web portal with no time restrictions Create custom web dashboards Create data processing cloud scripts Create data rules and alerts Open source device application code Exosite s publically documented APIs Device APIs Application APIs Provisioning APIs For more information on specific kits: http://exosite.com/ti-start
How a Solution Works Connected Products Exosite Applications Devices powered by TI microcontrollers, Wi-Fi modules, and local wireless solutions run their application code and access Exosite application programming interfaces (APIs) over a network connection to activate, read/write data, and access content like firmware updates. Product Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Vendors can access an Exosite account that includes hierarchies of devices and owners, as well as tools to manage fleets of device deployments. The platform can perform complex processing, push data to other platforms, and provide back-end application functionality for user front-end applications. Custom web and mobile apps, support tools, and business intelligence integration connectors can be developed to provide access to users and consumers with a controlled view of specific data.
Next Steps for Product OEM Vendors After evaluating the TI web portal, Product OEM Vendors can create an Exosite Whitelabel Vendor Account to make their own custom solution: https://whitelabel.exosite.com A Whitelabel Vendor Account allows users to: Create and deploy Client Models for product fleets Obtain a custom-branded web portal application or build custom apps Create user and device groups and hierarchies Create business logic and connectors
Pricing Exosite provides a software-as-a-service platform that includes a vendor account fee and a per device resource fee. Vendor Account Plans: Starting at $100/month Per-Device Resource Options: Option 1: Recurring monthly fee starting as low as $0.30/month Option 2: One-time BOM fee - pay just once for the lifetime of the device Contact Exosite for customized pricing based on usage and volume.
