- Country-specific Instructions 1 General This service description consists of information and instructions for users of the service via at. (MT101) fields are shown in the matrix at the end of this service description. Please refer to Request for Transfer service description for further information on using. With you can control your payments centrally. Via your own electronic ing system, the solution offers one point of contact and simple access to all your accounts held abroad. The request may include payment instructions, such as intercompany payments, third party domestic or international payments. To ensure smooth processing of the payment and to avoid unnecessary costs it is important to fulfill the format requirements of the executing the payment. Before starting to initiate s, please contact your account serving to obtain information on which payment types are available and what are the information requirements for these payments. This description collects basic information on initiating s to Nordea s foreign units. There are also general requirements for formatting messages. Multi software manages some of these requirements. In the tables below these are marked with N.B. comments. If you use other electronic ing software to initiate, please follow the instructions given by your software vendor. 2 Denmark 2.1 Clearing Services Bank Transfers (UDUS payments) The above transfer type is made as a Transfer with compulsory credit advice. The credit advice is generated automatically by the of the customer. Payments are sent as individual transactions and are shown as individual entries on the ordering customers statement of account. The system is available for remotely initiated payments until 1.00 p.m. CET on the execution day. Usually, the transaction will be at the disposal of the of the customer one ing day after the day of debit. It is customary for few s in Denmark to add one value day to the credit transaction, i.e. a total of maximum 2 ing days after the day of debit. FIK/Giro transfers The joint transfer form FIK/Giro is extensively used due to the fact that the credit transactions can be downloaded to creditors ERP-system and be reconciled to his accounts receivable. The forms contain certain information necessary to direct the transactions correctly, i.e. 2 digit form type code (01, 04, 15, 71, 73, and 75) Payment Identification No. (mandatory for forms 04, and 71 (15 digits), 15, and 75 (16 digits). No Payment Identification No. is used with forms 01, 15, and 73. Creditor Number 8 digits is used with form 71, 73, and 75. Postal Giro Account Number 7 digits is used with form 01, 04, and 15. Additional information is possible with form 01, 73, and 75. Remaining form types 05, 82, 83, and 93 cannot be used due to a requirement of obtaining payers signature and physical forwarding to the payee. The system is available for remotely initiated payments until 1.00 p.m. CET on the execution day. 2.2 Nordea Bank Danmark A/S, Copenhagen 2.2.1 Account number format The account number in Nordea Bank Danmark consists of 14 digits (incl. the clearing-no.) or IBAN 18 digits. 3 Germany 3.1 Clearing services In Germany the majority of domestic non-cash payments are effected through the RTGSplus (Real Time Gross Settlement) or for mass payments the DTA (Daten Träger Austausch) system. All payments are based on the 8- digit BLZ (Bankleitzahl) or S.W.I.F.T. / BIC-Code and they are running through German Centrals account. DTA (Datenträgeraustausch) DTA is the payment system used for high volume, low value EUR payments e.g. salaries and purchase ledger. The DTA system can be used for both crediting and debiting accounts. 4 Norway 4.1 Clearing services In Norway the majority of domestic non-cash payments are effected through the giro system. The giro system includes payments to and from and postgiro accounts. The Norwegian account number structure is standardised and consists of 11 digits specifying both the and the customer. The first four digits specify the and the branch. BBS (The Giro System) The giro system is operated by Bankenes Betaling Sentral A/S (BBS), a -owned subcontractor of payment processing services. All s in Norway participate in the BBS-System. It functions as an Automated Clearing House (ACH). Payments are transferred through the system from an account with one to an account with another. Payments are made in NOK only. A Norwegian giro number and /post account number are identical. BBS sends credit and debit advice, respectively, to the customers. KID numbers (Customer Identification Number) are used in invoices. The s name and address will not be carried through the BBS clearing, if the KID No. is used. The system can be used for all types of payments in NOK to beneficiaries with or without a domestic or postal account number. The cut-off time is 13.00 CET on day one. 4.2 Nordea Bank Norge ASA, Oslo 4.2.1 Account number format The account number in Nordea Bank Norge consists of 11 digits. All payment instructions should have the debit account stated with the full length. 5 Sweden 5.1 Clearing services In Sweden the majority of domestic non-cash payments are effected through the two giro-systems, Bankgiro and PlusGirot. BGC (The Bank Giro System) PlusGirot The Bankgiro System is operated by Bankgirocentralen AB (BGC), a -owned subcontractor of payment processing services. All s in Sweden participate in the Bankgiro System. It functions as an Automated Clearing House (ACH). Payments are transferred through the Bankgiro System from an account in one to an account in another. Commercial payments are however never made to a account number, the account number is substituted by a Bankgiro identification number. Payments can be made in SEK and EUR. BGC sends the customer daily details of all incoming and outgoing payments. The Bankgiro systems can be used for payments to Bankgiro numbers, payments to beneficiaries with a valid Swedish account number and also for the payment of taxes. The cut-off time is 16.00 CET on day zero. The overall clearing cycle of the system: Day 0 Day 1 Day 2 The receives MT101 s, create a file and submit the file to BgC, a/c debited Beneficiary s credited Beneficiary s a/c credited The PlusGirot is part of Nordea Bank Sweden AB (publ). It functions as an Automated Clearing House (ACH). Payments are transferred through the PlusGirot from or to a PlusGiro account. Payments can be made in SEK and EUR. PlusGirot sends the customer daily details of all incoming and outgoing payments. The Bankgiro systems can be used for payments to PlusGiro accounts. The cut-off time is 16.00 CET on day zero. 6 United Kingdom 6.1 General 6.1.1 Clearing services BACS (Bankers Automated Clearing System) BACS is a UK payments system used for high volume, low value GBP payments e.g. salaries and purchase ledger. The BACS system can be used for both crediting and debiting accounts.
