What's Your Vision? Your Mission? Your Purpose? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are shaped and fashioned by what we love. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You ve identified the passion that fuels you, what you do, how you do it and why, right? Now let s explore your Vision, Mission and Purpose and and how they relate to your profession and business. What s Your Vision? The one that started this adventure you re on... The one that drives all you do. In your Vision, how does sharing your passion transform your world? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. - Carl Jung ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What s Your Mission? What are you doing to make your dream a reality? And those you serve What are you doing to make their dreams come true? When you discover your mission, you will feel its demand. It will fill you with enthusiasm and a burning desire to get to work on it. - W. Clement Stone What s Your Purpose and the Purpose of Your Business? Imagine you are the star in your vision Imagine you play a critical role in the mission... 1 / 5

Imagine you are the one who turns your dreams into reality because you are! What purpose do you and your business serve in your ideal world? We are not here merely to make a living. We are here to enrich the world. - Woodrow Wilson Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose. - Helen Keller You may be asking yourself, "Why? I know what I m doing, what I ve dedicated my life to accomplishing. Why is it so important for me to get my thoughts and feelings from deep within my heart and mind and convert them to messages I can share? You want your business to reflect your passion, to help you live your dreams, to fulfill your mission, and to contribute to you living the life you want, right? If you're not clear about your vision, mission and purpose, how can you possibly get there? ~ Success Activity: What's Your Vision? Your Mission? Your Purpose? It s time to craft clear, concise and compelling statements about your Vision, Mission and Purpose. Write, type or record your thoughts and feelings, whichever is the easiest and most natural for you. I know you re busy and you might be thinking you can t take on another thing. If you re like me, you want to get it done in one sitting, you want it to flow quickly and easily from within you, and you want it to be perfect. And wanting to meet or exceed your expectation may cause you to procrastinate. I know what I m asking you to do I m working on mine, too. (You can read them if you d like.) Why is being able to articulate your Vision, Mission and Purpose so important? People want to know, like and trust you before they do business with you. The more authentic and transparent you are about who you are and what s important to you, the more freely you share yourself with others, the more real and approachable you become. 2 / 5

You ll be amazed how much clearer you bring forth your thoughts and feelings from those hidden places deep within you. You ll discover things that even you weren t aware of. The greater your clarity, the easier you ll find staying focused and on task. You ll also find it easier to tap into your inner strength to overcome obstacles, solve problems and meet challenges that come your way when you know why it s important that you rise to the occasion. You ll be incorporating your thoughts and feelings about your Vision, Mission and Purpose into your story, your information products and your marketing messages. So, just as you did in the Success Activity about your Passion, start by expressing with whatever comes to mind ~ words phrases sentences. Avoid editing during the creative phase of this activity. You can edit and polish later. Are you ready? Let s begin ~ What's Your Vision? Imagine your ideal world Imagine sharing your passion with those you d most like to serve Those who want and need what you re offering Imagine your ideal day, your ideal week, your ideal life as you turn your dreams into reality. ~ What's Your Mission? Remember Mission Impossible? The missions those guys were on were bigger than themselves. They had to reach into the depths of who they were to successfully fulfill their mission. The good news is yours is Mission Possible. Your mission is the big picture made up of several goals and projects and lots of activity by you and those who join you. We ll get to take a closer look at the detail. For now stay focused on the bird s eye view. What mission are you on? 3 / 5

~ What's Your Purpose? You see, without a purpose in life, it s easy to get sidetracked on your life s journey. It s easy to wander and drift, accomplishing little. But with a purpose, everything in life seems to fall into place. To be on purpose means you re doing what you love to do, doing what you re good at and accomplishing what s important to you. When you truly are on purpose, the people, resources, and opportunities you need naturally gravitate toward you. The world benefits, too, because when you act in alignment with your true life purpose, all of your actions automatically serve others. ~ Jack Canfield from The Success Principles When you live your life on purpose, when your thoughts, words and deeds are aligned with your purpose, you tap into and harness a personal power that helps you turn your dreams into reality. Where are you focusing your attention and your resources? - Your strengths, talents and gifts - Your knowledge, wisdom and expertise - Your time, money, energy - People who know you and want to contribute to and benefit from your vision, - And people you are going to attract the ones who will participate in your mission. While you don't have to spend hours on it right now until you get it perfect, I do recommend you revisit it often. Each time tweek it a little. By taking baby steps frequently you will uncover the deeper, more authentic Vision, Mission and Purpose for your business and your life. And I guarantee they'll be more compelling to you and others than if you tried to get them done in one sitting. Plus my guess is if you took it on as a single, big chunk project, you might feel overwhelmed and so maybe you never get started, and possibly even if you did, not end up with something that's inspiring. So start today and have fun making progress! ~ Remember, this is a process. While you may want to quickly and easily express your passion in words, you may discover that this is more challenging that you thought. Take as long as you need. You may even want to work on this for several days Whatever it takes. 4 / 5

You ll know when you re done when you read it and you feel your passion come alive within you when others hear it, they do, too and it s clear, concise and compelling enough for them to want to pass it on so you attract those new prospects you want to serve. If you find you get stumped, I d be honored to help. Contact me so we can work together to clarify your Vision, your Mission, and your Purpose. 5 / 5
