The training King s Onine Bibe Schoo offers centers around three fundaenta issues in Christian ife: truth, character, and servanthood. 1. Truth Objectives Our curricuu pursues truth objectives in four ajor areas of study: A. Bibica studies: wi ask you to ebrace the Scriptures as the authoritative and reiabe record of God s truth wi introduce you to each book of the Bibe; wi offer concentrated study of seected bibica books; wi provide you with principes and toos for bibica study. B. Theoogica studies: wi estabish the vaue of doctrine in the Church and in your ife; wi acquaint you with basic Christian doctrines; wi equip you with a foundationa grasp of truth that enabes you to identify and reject error. C. Historica studies wi trace how the Spirit of God has guarded His peope in Christ s truth and ife through the centuries.

Christian ife studies: wi teach you how to reate bibica truths to our own situation; wi teach you how to prepare to teach God s Word; wi chaenge you to be Christ s witness; wi ca you to wak in the reaities and exercises of faith. Character Objectives Because growth in Christ s character is the work of the Hoy Spirit and because He accopishes that work through persona reationships in the context of Christ s body, we ask pastors to hep prospective students identify a person to support and encourage the in their studies. KOBS provides training for entors and tutors. 3. Servanthood Objectives to earn the bibica foundation for serving; to earn the bibica guideines for the Church s inistries and functions; to earn and practice various inistry skis; to begin to identify particuar gifting for service and inistry; to concentrate training in identified inistries. Fu-tie students wi noray copete: 120 units of study (usuay about -12 courses) within four onths; 360 units within tweve onths. Each course is coprised of a nuber of units (each requiring about three hours of study tie). Each unit usuay incudes: a prepared ecture
a study guide with questions designed to review or expand on the ecture. Fu-tie students wi work on severa courses siutaneousy. Part-tie Study Part-tie students are encouraged to copete one ter within one caendar year. Additiona curricuu requireents A. Fu-tie and part-tie students wi be asked: to be abe to write the naes of the books of the Bibe in order; to coit to eory: n n n The Ten Coandents The Apostes Creed The Nicene Creed to estabish an ongoing pan and habit of eorizing portions of Scripture; to read thoughtfuy through the New Testaent in the first ter; to read thoughtfuy through the Od Testaent in the second ter. B. Fu-tie students wi be asked: to read through the Bibe a second tie at a reading pace; to be abe to identify the essage or purpose of each book of the Bibe. Casua Study Students are wecoe to register for one or two courses at a tie. Suggested tie frae: copeting a ten-unit course within three onths. Maintaining continuity is iportant. Group Study Most of our courses end theseves to adaptation for use in groups. Part-tie, Casua, and Group Study options are a presenty avaiabe. At the sae tie, it has been gratifying to see how copeting a year of study at King s Bibe Coege has heped open doors to further inistry and training opportunities. Our ain purpose is to provide training for as any ebers of our churches as possibe. Most of our students wi have no need or opportunity for further acadeic training. At the sae tie, this iediate purpose serves one of our highest priorities and goas directy. We beieve that God wants to equip His servants for inistry in the context of their oca churches where he has paced the as ebers of His body. What we ask of our students 1. Study procedures Foow the instructions in the syabus, copeting the work of each unit before proceeding to the next unit. Read or isten to each ecture or presentation and then copete each ite on the accopanying study guide. In any instances you wi be aware that your answers are correct without checking with soeone ese. (You ay request a ist of answers fro KOBS after you have copeted an exercise.) Note questions about which you are not sure or which you wish to discuss further. Do so with your entor or tutor or soeone who is avaiabe to you and abe to offer reiabe answers to your questions. With regard to servanthood training We wi ask that you: participate wiingy in each assigned service project; pray that Jesus wi work His ove in your heart; seek and practice spiritua gifts; be aert to needs in others ives; practice copassion; be faithfu to respond to the Hoy Spirit s eading.
