Extract more value from existing source data In conjunction with the Raw Data Store, the Data Processing Pipeline provides the ability to replay entire message volumes (or parts) to extract additional value from existing data. This replay capability is key for providing analytics systems with the best available information at a time when analytics for both population health management and genomics are still emerging. Organizations can iteratively develop new solutions with the knowledge that additional information can still be extracted from existing data in the future. The Activity Stream provides a snapshot of activity in a social media-style feed and enables the user to drill into specific locations in the Patient record to get more information. Integrated consumer device data Consumer Data Spaces enable the ingestion, processing and storage of a broad range of data from consumer devices including height, weight, blood pressure, physical activity and blood glucose. This provides clinicians with powerful new insights into how their patients are managing their conditions between consultations and improves clinical decision-making by further enriching patient records. Automated monitoring systems can be put in place to proactively alert providers when consumer device readings suggest there is a need for intervention. Integrated custom data Custom Data Spaces provide customers with the ability to deploy data models customized for a specific purpose, allowing the rapid prototyping of new domain models and the capture of customer-specific data sets. This means that region or site-specific data models can be built without the time and cost associated with traditional product development. In addition to providing the storage infrastructure for these custom models, Custom Data Spaces automatically generate REST APIs. Notification and subscription management is a key feature of Open Platform that enables real-time messaging of critical information, ensuring that providers know about patient events outside their organization. The Notifications tool distributes relevant alerts and clinical information about pre-defined events such as a hospital admission, discharge or finalized laboratory results available for review. As messages flow through the solution, they generate notifications, which can be delivered to a Direct Messaging network inbox or secured email account. Translating code into industry-standard terminology By carrying out semantic normalization - translating incoming coded data to industry-standard terminology - Open Platform facilitates the safe and consistent exchange of data and enables a unified and consistent view of the patient record. Enterprise Master Patient Index Open Platform includes an Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) to enable information from multiple organizations to be linked to the correct patient or member - critical to establish a complete patient/member record from all data sources. The EMPI evaluates patient records and assigns an Enterprise Unique ID (EUID) to facilitate data quality management and interoperability. The EMPI identifies and resolves duplicate patient records, improves the accuracy of patient identification, enables a patient-centric view of information, and simplifies connectivity with EMR, EHR systems and other HIE systems. Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Infrastructure Open Platform s Data Engine and accessing federated information using the IHE Cross Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS) standards. These standards allow supporting organizations to share Documents with the Open Platform with minimal effort and adds to the rich data already available in the system. CCD generation The CCD generation functionality of Open Platform is a useful tool for users wanting to consolidate and share documents relating to a patient.
