ABOUT NATA COACHING PROGRAMME AT VISTAS Practice is the hardest part of learning, and training is the essence of transformation. - Ann Voskamp Competitive exams test students in aptitude apart from domain knowledge in respective fields. Design based exams for admission to design colleges and universities also test lateral thinking abilities. In particular, exams for architecture assess candidates not only with domain specific creative exercises but also on architectural awareness acquired over the years (as stated in NATA.IN website), for which most students are ill equipped and understandably so. At VISTAS Academy, NATA coaching is not just aimed at preparing students for the examination, but also to develop their general aptitude and spatial understanding. Students are initiated into sketching through principles and theories of light and shade, scale and proportion etc. To guide students through design compositions which form bulk of the weightage of NATA score, relevant theories with worked examples are discussed and shared.
