Multipathing with DASD Pitfalls Make sure the device is formatted and partitioned prior to mulitpath-setup Be careful when formatting / partitioning devices currently in use (see howto) Use cio_ignore since base detection does re-probing (performance issue during ipl) Use blacklist in multipath-tools to exclude no-pav DASD devices 27
