PCMI: Master of Science in Applied Economics and Statistics Major The Master of Science in Applied Economics & Statistics (MS-AES) program requires a minimum of 30 credit hours. Credits awarded during Peace Corps service exceed the minimum and replace time that would normally be spent by a traditional student doing an internship, field work or research needed to complete the technical paper requirement. The MS-AES program does not require a second language proficiency; however, up to 2 credits may be earned for language training. The MS-AES program will allow one credit per term under Special Topics (APEC 899: Selected Topics), up to a total of 8 credit hours while on Peace Corps assignment. The subject matter and specific academic requirements will be determined in collaboration with the student s advisory committee.
