Values and skills central to the practice of occupational therapy are promoted through group experiences, fieldworkandrolemodelingbyacademicclinicalfaculty.theseincludeawareness ofself, appreciationofdifferentlifeexperiencesandsociodculturalbackgrounds, andempathy towards others. Ethical principles and legal aspects of practice are introduced. Graded educational activities encourage development of independence, selfdexpression, flexibility, creativityandproblemsolving.
