School of Electrical and Computer Engineering The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is recognised locally and internationally for its comprehensive and flexible educational programmes and first class research. The School offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and postgraduate research engineering programmes and courses at RMIT s City campus in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The School currently has approximately 140 higher degrees by research students, with approximately 85% undertaking PhD studies. Specialisation areas that are reflected in research and teaching include electrical energy systems, control systems, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer engineering, network engineering and microelectronic engineering. Programme Overview The Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours) degree programme at SHAPE is offered to those who have completed a qualification deemed equivalent to two years of an Australian bachelor s degree programme in Electrical Engineering. Students knowledge in new technologies and products to improve energy supply, automation and facilities will be enriched. They would also develop professional skills including communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. This programme prepares graduates to work as electrical engineers in the design of systems and equipment for all types of industrial and everyday purposes, particularly in the fields of renewable energy, transportation, power generation and distribution, and retail and industrial automation. Through individual and team-based projects that closely resemble the work of practising engineers, students will exercise their design, teamwork, leadership, management and communication skills, and will have their technical knowledge and skills deepened. Programme Structure The programme at SHAPE is equivalent to the 3rd and 4th years of an RMIT Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours) degree with an entry point to the programme appropriate for Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering graduates. The academic year consists of 3 trimesters and the programme is delivered in full-time over 6 trimesters and part-time mode over 8 trimesters. There are a total of 192 credit points and an average of 24 RMIT credit points in each semester. The programme is delivered through a combination of face-toface intensive workshops, weekly tutorials, laboratory sessions and online components. 8

Successful completion of at least the equivalent of a two year tertiary programme of at least AQF Level 5 within the past five years where English is the language of teaching and assessment.

Total programme fee for Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure) (Honours) and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours) is HK$173,600, payable in eight instalments. Each instalment amounts to HK$21,700 and will be collected within 1 month before the commencement of the semester. 2. Total programme fee for Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) is HK$155,400, payable in 6 instalments. The amount of each instalment is calculated according to the number of courses to be taken in each trimester. Each course amounts to HK$9,712.5. Students normally undertake two or three courses each trimester. 3. Total programme fee for Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) (Honours) is HK$173,600. Tuition fee is payable in 6 instalments for the full-time programme and 8 instalments for the part-time programme. The amount of each instalment is calculated according to the number of courses to be taken in each trimester. Each course amounts to HK$10,850. For the full-time programme, students normally undertake two or three courses each trimester. For the part-time programme, students normally undertake two courses each trimester. 4. If you accept the offer, you should pay the 1 st instalment of the tuition fee in full before the deadline stated in the offer letter to complete the registration procedures. 5. All fees paid less application fee will be refunded if the programme is withdrawn or not offered. 6. On premature cessation of the programme, all fees and charges that have been collected in respect of any part of the programme failing to be conducted on or after the date of the cessation will be refunded within 1 month of the premature cessation. 7. Where a student, after accepting an offer of a place, withdraws before the commencement of the semester, tuition fees paid are refundable less 10 per cent administration fee. 8.
