Choctaw Manufacturing Defense Contractors History Choctaw Defense began as The Hugo Finishing Plant in 1989 as a supplier of Laser Guided Bomb components for Texas Instruments at our Hugo, Oklahoma facility. In 1999, Choctaw Defense expanded the Choctaw Nation s industrial and technological capabilities by incorporating and acquiring SBA 8(a) and HUBZone certification. In 1999, Awarded the Nunn-Perry Award with Texas Instruments Missile Defense Systems, Inc. for outstanding DoD Mentor-Protégé Team. In 2001, the McAlester Industrial Park was acquired to more than double manufacturing space to accommodate newly acquired contracts. Choctaw Defense currently has over 200 employees performing contracts for Army, Navy, Air Force and Major Primes such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon.
