Designed specifically for the professional et it features simple operation with a wide range of features and functions that complement any video production environment. The PRV-LX10 Professional DVD-Video recorder features a modular design with 120GB hard drive, real-time recording, menu creation and up to two DVD-R/RW drives all in one unit. The PRV-LX10 gives you everything you need today, with a future-proof modular design for adding features you ll want tomorrow. Professional Features One Touch Real Time Recording The PRV-LX10 is designed for quick and easy video recording from all professional video sources onto DVD-R or DVD-RW media. Pioneer s real-time hardware VBR encoding process provides the highest quality video, relative to the bit rate setting. Professional Design The PRV-LX10 is designed to meet the DVD needs of a wide variety of video and post-production environments. The recorder offers multiple analogue and digital connections and RS-422A and IEEE-1394 (firewire) control capabilities for easy integration into existing professional media facilities. Applications include one-step conversion of video assets to DVD, easy authoring of video projects and video archiving to the highly compatible DVD-Video format. Virtually any project that needs to be delivered on DVD can benefit from the PRV-LX10. DVD Authoring Menu Creation A DVD Title or Chapter menu can be easily created including buttons with images grabbed directly from the source video. A library of button templates and background graphics makes it easy to select a unique look and identity for the DVD. User-created background graphics can also be imported and used to further customise the DVD disc. Navigation Command Settings The PRV-LX10 allows the user to choose basic play and title post navigation commands. This feature allows the user to specify exact DVD program execution and provides greater assurance that the final DVD will playback as intended. Custom Chapter Marker Insertion The PRV-LX10 offers the ability to insert chapter ers manually or automatically during the recording process. This feature allows the user to tailor the DVD program to specific needs and take advantage of the quick nonlinear access that DVD technology provides. Flexibility of HDD The internal 120GB hard drive will store over 20 full DVD projects and supports libraries that hold menu backgrounds, button layout files and EDL data. The Ethernet port allows files to be transferred to the HDD via a network connection. Basic editing features allow you to trim VOB files, precisely remove and replace chapter points and reassign title order.

DVD RECORDING, EDITING AND AUTHORING... QUICK AND EASY The PRV-LX10 offers multiple recording options, equipped with one or two DVD-R/RW drives and a 120GB Hard Disk Drive. Direct to Multiple Targets Content can be recorded directly to target DVD1, DVD2 or to the internal hard disk drive. The PRV-LX10 also allows simultaneous recording to any combination of the three targets. HDD to DVD Projects stored on the hard disk drive can by copied directly to DVD1 and/or DVD2 taking advantage of 4X writing speed on DVD-R and 2X writing speed on DVD-RW. Flexibility and Convenience Operation Specially designed GUI and a keyboard makes operation easy. The GUI can be navigated through front panel button controls or with attached USB mouse and keyboard. Playback Time Shift Playback Function Review content on the HDD during recording. controlled using an optional mouse and the onscreen control bar. DVD Recording Encoding MPEG2 with 32-step compression rate settings using VBR recording. You can choose from two audio encoding formats: Linear PCM and Dolby Digital. Optimum compression rate can be automatically selected according to the recording time. The video noise filter can be adjusted through 16 steps. Chapter Mark Setting You can select either auto setting (3, 5 or 10 minutes) or manual setting for chapter s. Auto Capture An automatic recording function enables time code control, via RS-422A or DV, of professional VTR s and LTC link recording.
