Patient Messaging with Ingage Patient Portal Secure messaging will now be handled through Ingage patient. The provider will be able to send a message from Clinician and the patient will be able to view and respond back via the secure portal. Each patient will need to have an account setup with Ingage patient in order to receive messages. This document will outline how the messaging system will work. 1. Enter the patient s email address in one of the following areas: a. Under Patient tab (see below) or b. Under Info tab under Other 2. Compose a message do the following: a. Go to Messages tab b. Select Compose 3. Create the message and attach any necessary documentation and select send
4. Any prior communications between the provider and patient will display under the Messages tab 5. Any unread messages will appear in bold 6. By selecting the refresh button in the right hand corner will refresh the view and show the latest communications 7. You can also send a NOTE as a message. 8. From the Notes tab find the note and open it.
9. The patient s email will be auto-filled. You will have the option to select the provider the message is coming from and click SEND. Open the NOTE from the patient chart. Select the provider the message is from and click SEND. Note: Send via Direct will require the doctor has a DIRECT address. MESSAGE INBOX FOR PRACTICE There are 2 areas that can be accessed to see new messages within the Clinician Portal, either from the Home tab or the Patients Messages tab. 1. To view from the Home tab do the following: a. From within Eaglesoft go to Online and choose Eaglesoft Clinician and select Home tab b. The HOME PAGE will now display a hyperlink to the Messages Inbox, similar to the other hyperlinks on this page. Clicking on that hyperlink will take you directly to all unread messages 2. To view from the Patients Messages tab do the following: a. From within Eaglesoft from the edit patient screen select Clinician b. Then select the messages tab c. This area displays all messages sent to this patient and received by this patient.
Patient Portal: Ingage Note: If this is the first time the patient is receiving a message from Clinician they will receive 2 emails: First email is to create their Ingage account so they can review the message sent as well as any future messages sent to them. Once they create their account they will not receive this email ever again. The second email is the message sent to them from Clinician. Below is an example of the 2 emails the patient will receive in their INBOX from Ingage. One to create their account and the second notifying them of the new message from the Clinician.
Patient Creating Ingage Account 1. In the body of the email the patient will select Create Your Free Account. 2. They will then enter in their personal information.
3. Click on Messages to view all messages from practice. 4. Select the name under From to open the message 5. Any unread messages will appear in bold 6. Messages will remain in this view until the patient deletes the message 7. The patient views their message.
8. By clicking Reply in the above screenshot, the patient can type a message to the provider and click REPLY on the bottom left of the page to send the message to the provider. 1. If you send a patient a Clinical Visit Summary (CDA) from the NOTE tab these documents will show up in the Ingage portal under My Health Information and Health Documents. 2. THERE WILL BE NO MESSAGE in the messages tab when a CDA is sent. A small notification will remind the patient that Clinical Summary Documents will be found under the Health Documents.
3. The patient can view the CDA by selecting My Health Information and click on the VIEW hyperlink
