Faculty profiles Susan Storrud-Barnes, Ph.D. Dr. Storrud-Barnes is an Assistant Professor teaching Strategic Management with more than 20 years in the architect/engineer/construction industry, as a consultant and project manager. She uses her experiences to illustrate classroom concepts. Dr. Storrud-Barnes research is focused on financial market cycle pressures on strategy and the legal tactics that firms can take to balance profits and stock prices. Included among her honors is Teacher of the Year and Researcher of the Year at Washington State University. Raj Javalgi, Ph.D. Dr. Javalgi is a Professor of Marketing and teaches the International Business Strategy course. Through his course you ll gain a deep, globally focused understanding of both business and marketing strategy. Discover the relevancy of how his interests in International Marketing, International abusiness, Marketing Research, Multivariate Statistical Methods and Marketing Management apply to a global economy. However, he is not just a professor. Dennis McGarry, M.B.A. Dennis McGarry has been a highly experienced Finance and Managerial Accounting instructor for 28 years and earned his MBA from Cleveland State University. As a Senior Finance Manager with the General Electric Company you ll gain invaluable business insights from his experience both domestic and international. Other positions he has held with GE are: Manager Finance - Worldwide Purchasing and Mergers and Acquisitions, Manager Finance Managerial Accounting for the North American Lighting Operations. Pesta, Ph.D., SPHR Dr. Pesta, Assistant Professor of Management, teaches human resources management. Highly regarded in his field and is published regularly, Dr. Pesta is a recipient of the Excellence in Humanist Communication Award from the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard University. He is also a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Social Psychology. Heidi Meier, D.B.A., CPA Heidi Meier, Professor of Accounting, teaches managerial and financial accounting. She is considered an expert in the area of auditing and has been awarded the Legacy Award for Outstanding Teaching and the Distinguished Research Award. Executive in residence Steve Kirk, recently retired Chief Operating Officer of Lubrizol Corporation Monte Ahuja College of Business is honored to have Steve Kirk, recently retired Chief Operating Officer of Lubrizol Corp., as an Executive in Residence. With his impressive résumé and success, students will gain valuable real-world insights into the global business environment along with one-on-one executive and project coaching. Steve Kirk earned his bachelor s and master s degrees in chemical engineering from Cornell University, and in 1979, his MBA from Cleveland State University. He serves on the board of directors of Robbins & Myers (NYSE: RBN), Vocational Guidance Service and the CSU Foundation. Mr. Kirk also served as the chairman of the Dean s Visiting Committee from 2008-2010. As COO of Lubrizol we focused on making our customers successful.
