Course Description Learn all there is to know about AutoCAD, this course comprises AutoCAD 2D Fundamentals, Advanced 2D and 3D Modeling. This online course is designed to take students who have minimal experience to learn the latest techniques on AutoCAD 2013. In a simple step by step process by using video tutorials you will produce basic to advanced drawings in 2D and 3D to utilise the latest features, commands and techniques. After completing the course students will have an in depth knowledge and developed skills enabling them to work autonomously and productively with AutoCAD. Students will receive support from experienced trainers and over 22 hours of in depth video tutorials. After enrolling with Holmesglen, students are eligible to download a free 3 year student full trial version of AutoCAD 2013 and the latest industry software from the Autodesk community website. Fees There are two different ways that you are able to study or enrol in the online AUTOCAD course. Enrol in the whole course (1 year duration) Enrol in individual Skill Sets (vary depending on the subject) Enrolling in the Whole Course Enrolling in all skill sets at once not only gives you a discount, but also gives you access to all of the material for the duration of the course. The total cost of enrolling in all skill sets is $995.00. Enrolling in Individual Skills Sets Enrolling in individual skill sets allows you not only to be resulted, but also to build up to achieving the 3 skill sets Drafting at a pace that suits you which may span longer than one year. FAQ Is AutoCAD 2013 software included in the course? Yes. Students are eligible to download a free 3 year student full trial version of AutoCAD 2013 and latest industry software from the Autodesk website after enrolling in the course. This is to be used for student purposes only. The only difference is this version is it displays "PRODUCED BY AN AUTODESK EDUCTIONAL PRODUCT" on the print outs. What Certificate/Statements will l receive after completing the course? You will receive a statement of attainment for the units you have completed and a Certificate of Participation for the skill set you complete i.e. 2D Fundamentals, Advanced 2D and 3D Modelling. Does the course focus on design techniques for a particular discipline/ profession? No. The course does not focus on design techniques for any particular discipline/profession it focuses on learning how to use the software not design. What types of drawings do you draw? Most drawings are mechanical however other types of drawings included are a house plan, circuit, structural and sheet metal layouts. The drawing type is not important though as the course focuses on learning how to use the software not on design. Is the course for the MAC AutoCAD version? No. It is for the PC (windows) version of AutoCAD. MAC and PC versions are very different. How do l access all the learning material? i.e. videos, drawings, outlines, etc. You access the course through moodle which is an e-learning software platform. After enrolling you will be contacted and explained how to access moodle i.e. Logon and Password. Will l complete Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting (MEM40412) if enrolled in the full AutoCAD online course? No. If enrolled in the full AutoCAD online course you will complete four units out of the Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting this is not the all the units required to complete the course.
