I wish to invite your Administration to participate in two ICAO Operational Safety Workshops: a two-day workshop on Cabin Crew Competency-based Training, on 3-4 August 2015 and a oneday workshop on the Aeroplane Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT), on 5 August 2015. The workshops will be hosted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Turkey and Turkish Airlines and conducted at the WOW Istanbul Hotels & Convention Centre, located at: Yeşilköy Mahallesi Atatürk Cad. 34149 No:15-17-19 Bakırköy, Istanbul, Turkey. 2. The purpose of the Cabin Crew Competency-based Training workshop is to provide participants with information on the ICAO provisions relevant to cabin safety and security contained in the ICAO Annexes along with cabin crew competency-based training concepts and associated guidance material. This event is focused on cabin safety inspectors, cabin safety specialists, airline cabin crew training managers, and representatives from training organizations involved in cabin crew training. The UPRT workshop has the objective to outline the implications of new UPRT requirements for regulators, airlines and training organizations and to facilitate their implementation. The new requirements on UPRT for aeroplane pilots will be addressed as a way to improve safety. This event is focused on flight safety and operations specialists, airline flight crew training managers, and representatives from training organizations involved in flight crew training. 3. Please note that both workshops are focused on specific audiences; therefore, I would highly appreciate that the designation of each delegate has the prerequisites previously described.
