What to Check Before Installing/Upgrading to Windows 10 [Microsoft] How to upgrade Windows 10 www.windows.com/windows10upgrade http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=544844 Check current Windows version Windows 7: Windows 7 SP1 upgrade required Windows 8/8.1: Update to the latest version using Windows Update However, Windows 8 must be upgraded to Windows 8.1 through the Windows Store Checking your Windows version/system [Computer (Right-click) Properties] [System information] System Requirements Processor: 1GHz and up RAM: 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit) Usable device storage space: 16GB (32-bit) or 20GB (64-bit) Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device (including WDDM driver) Display: 1024 X 600

What to Check and Prepare Before Installing Update the computer you are using to the latest version. Run "SW Update" ( ) to update the BIOS, programs and drivers to their latest versions Download "SW Update": http://orcaservice.samsungmobile.com/swupdate.aspx Run Windows Update to update to the latest version Windows 7/8.1: Install the latest updates using Windows Update in the Control Panel. Be sure to save all important data on external storage devices such as USB, external HDD, or network folders. We recommend that you back up your personal Windows settings, contacts, photos, documents, videos, music, etc. to avoid losing data. By using Samsung Recovery Solution ( ), you can safely back up all information currently on your computer. You can easily recover backed up information if any unforeseen problems occur during installation. Program icons may differ depending on version Storage device space (16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)) may be insufficient when upgrading to Windows 10. We recommend that you delete unused programs before upgrading. PC products cannot be replaced or refunded after upgrading to Windows 10, and there will be a fee for service requests.

Notice Windows settings, personal files, and some apps you were using are kept as-is even after upgrading. If the Windows system language you were using cannot be used for the system requirements tab, only your personal files will be kept as-is during the upgrade. (i.e., apps and Windows settings are not kept.) Inquiries related to download, installation and website use MS website customer center (http://windows.com) Note 1: Since a clean installation formats the partition it uses before installation, all data on that partition is deleted. Be sure to save important data on external storage devices. For details on backing up, refer to What to Check and Prepare Before Installing". Note 2: Samsung Electronics does not sell or provide a Windows 10 DVD.
