Technical Data Model: ATD10503 Rated voltage frequency: AC120V 60Hz Input power: 750W No-load speed: 11,000 RPM Wheel: 4.5 Arbor size: 5/8-11 UNC Approximate Weight: 2.5KGS (excluding packaging) Safety Instructions Warning: When using electric tools, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury, including the following. Read all these instructions before operating this product and save these instructions. Keep work area clean Cluttered areas and benches trigger accidents. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use power tools if damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit. Do not use power tools where there is risk of fire or explosion. Keep children and observers away from work area Do not let observers touch the tool or extension cord when in use. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, secure area, out of reach of children. Do not force the tool It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was intended. (See operating instructions.) Use the right tool Do not force small tools or attachments to perform beyond the manufacturers specifications. Do not use tools for purposes not intended; for example, do not use mild steel grinding wheels on aluminum or masonry. Dress properly Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry; they can be caught in moving parts. Rubber gloves and non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair. Wear safety glasses Also use face shields and/or dust masks if the cutting operation is dusty. Connect dust extraction equipment If dust extraction devices are provided, ensure that they are connected and functioning properly. Do not abuse the cord Never carry the tool by the cord or yank it to disconnect it from the socket. Keep the cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Secure work Use clamps or a vice to hold the work. It is safer than using your

hand and it frees both hands to operate the tool. Do not strain to reach the work area Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Maintain tools with care Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories. Inspect tool cord periodically, and if damaged, have it repaired by an authorized service facility. Inspect extension cords periodically and replace, if damaged. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Disconnect tools when not in use Unplug the cord from the electrical socket when not in use, before servicing, and when changing accessories such as wheels and guards. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches Form the habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed from the tool before turning it on. Avoid unintentional starting Do not carry a plugged-in tool with a finger on the switch. Be sure switch is off when plugging in. Use outdoor extension leads When tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords intended for outdoor use. Stay alert Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate tool when you are tired. Check for damaged parts Before every use of the tool, check for damaged parts carefully to determine that the tool will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment and freedom of movement in moving parts. Do not use if there is any breakage, slow moving parts or any other conditions that may hinder its operation. Do not use the tool if the switch does not function properly. Guards, malfunctioning switches, or other malfunctioning parts, should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual. Warning The use of any accessory or attachment, other than those recommended in this instruction manual, may present a risk of personal injury. This electric tool is in compliance with relevant safety requirements. Check that the speed marked on the wheel is equal to or greater than the rated speed of the grinder. Be sure that the wheel dimensions are compatible with the grinder and that the wheel fits the spindle Abrasive wheels should be stored and handled with care and in accordance with manufacturer s instructions. Inspect grinding wheel before use; do not use chipped, cracked or otherwise damaged products. Be sure that mounted wheels are fitted in accordance with the

manufacturer s instructions Be sure that the abrasive product is correctly mounted and tightened before use. Run the tool at no-load for 30 seconds in a safe position. Stop immediately if there is considerable vibration or if other problems are detected. If this condition occurs, check the machine to determine the cause and, if necessary, change the abrasive wheel. Do not use separate reducing bushings or adaptors to adapt large holes in abrasive wheels. Be sure that the work piece is properly supported Do not use grinding or cut-off wheels for side grinding; they could explode! Take care that sparks resulting from use do not create hazards. Keep observers and flammables well away from work area. Always use protective safety glasses and proper hearing protection. Use other personal protective equipment such as gloves, an apron, a face shield and/or a helmet when necessary. Since there is no brake mechanism in the tool, the wheel will continue to rotate after the tool is switched off.
