Does a LED bulb give the same colour light as my old incandescent bulb? The colour of light is measured in Kelvin (K). Warm daylight (2700K) corresponds to the colour of the old incandescent light bulbs. Choose 4000K for a cooler light or 5000K if you want even cooler still. Warm daylight Cool white Cool daylight 2700 Kelvin 4000 Kelvin 5000 Kelvin Watts and lumens what s it all about? Lumens measure light ouput and watts measure power consumption. When comparing what 6.3W feels like in terms of light output with the old incandescent bulbs, it feels like 40W. Nowadays, we start with lumen (lm) - the light output. Our 400 lm bulbs only use 6.3W of energy. That is why we say that a 6.3W LED bulb feels like a 40W incandescent bulb. 40W 6.3W
