Liverpool Cathedral Foundation Built by the Community, Inspiring the World

MAKE A L ASTING IMPACT During your lifetime there have been many memorable events and moments that have shaped who you are and Liverpool Cathedral wants to help you celebrate these occasions by providing a lasting memory for you and your family. This could be celebrating a birth, an anniversary, commemorating a life or even celebrating your affinity with the city of Liverpool. The People s Path is a specially reserved area in the grounds of the Cathedral which wraps around the building leading from the Main Entrance to the Lady Chapel and will be made up of existing pavers so that you can buy a real piece of the Cathedral s heritage. It provides the opportunity for you to have your memory engraved into a brick, which you can share with friends and family for many years to come. You can choose any tribute you like, from simply your name and your family s name, a special date such as a Baptism or graduation, or you could buy a brick on behalf of a business, club or society or to remember a loved one. The choice and memory is up to you! The Path will also illustrate for years to come the invaluable support Liverpool Cathedral has received from its supporters both locally and afar. Built thanks to the generous support of the Merseyside community, Liverpool Cathedral now inspires the world through its mission and ministry. Yet we receive no government funding, no direct funding from the Church of England and have no significant endowments. We rely on the generosity of visitors, supporters and volunteers to enable us to maintain our magnificent building, provide high quality worship, engage in topical debate, develop new initiatives and hold fundraising events. The money raised from the People s Path will be used to support our free entry policy. We are determined to keep the Cathedral free for all to enjoy, for people to walk freely in the splendour of the Cathedral, be inspired by its architecture and find peace within its walls. We hope you will join with us to secure the long term future of the Cathedral by laying lasting memories.

Erin Lillie Thompson s grandmother Rita Delves bought a brick to mark her granddaughter s Baptism at the Cathedral I wanted to mark Erin s Baptism in an unusual way, and as she gets older, she will be able to visit and see her name on show at the Cathedral. If she ever moves away, I hope it will give her a feeling of grounding and belonging to the city of Liverpool. Lucy Hesford graduated at Liverpool Cathedral last Summer with a degree in Wildlife Conservation from Liverpool John Moores University I will never forget graduating at Liverpool Cathedral. It was a really important occasion, not just because it marked the close of one chapter, but, more importantly, because it signalled the start of another.

Liverpool Cathedral reserves the right to approve all lettering and to refuse any application considered unsuitable. In such cases Liverpool Cathedral has no obligation to cite reason. 3.
