The ENoLL in the context of the Renewed Lisbon Strategy Lisbon Strategy for Growth and Jobs in the context of Globalization Investments in R&D alone will not guarantee an improved R&D performance We need a market which cuts the lead time to transform innovation into new products and services Europe needs a modern IPR system and interoperable standards A knowledge economy needs free movement for ideas and researchers Pool resources in strategic research areas, modernizing high education and creating new infrastructures, to complement the European Institute of Technology. European Network of Living Labs ENoLL facilitates the co-creation of user-driven open innovation focused on the citizen / user / customer / buyer. Living Labs reduce the lead time and increases the market success of new products and services. The ENoLL Roadmap has clearly identified the need for flexible soft IPRs, adequate to open innovation and standards to ensure interoperability. Living Labs operate in an open innovation environment where ideas and researchers move freely ENoLL can create, facilitate and sustain in close articulation with the European Institute of Technology an user-driven Open Innovation Environment where research results may respond more effectively to the users/citizens/ customers/buyers needs.
