Business and Skilled Migration Queensland (BSMQ) can nominate applicants for the following visas: The Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa (subclass ) is a point-tested permanent residency visa for applicants nominated by a state or territory government. The Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass ) is a point-tested provisional visa. It is a pathway to permanent residency. This visa requires applicants to live in a regional area for two a minimum of years and be employed for 12 months. This means a maximum number of nominations that will be accepted by BSMQ for each occupation within a given period. When ceilings are met, the occupation will be closed and further applications will not be accepted. It is at BSMQ s discretion when occupations will be opened or closed. The status of occupations will be regularly updated to indicate whether applications are being accepted. Applicants are encouraged to review the BSMQ website and social media regularly to check the status of their occupation. BSMQ will not contact you if your occupation is closed or opened at a later date.
