1 The Skilled Occupations List (SOL) applies to the following Australian Visas:- Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) Family Sponsored Points Tested visa (Subclass 489) Subclass 485 Your occupation must be on the SOL if you want to apply for one of these visas to migrate to Australia. These Australian Visas also require a skills assessment prior to the visa application. The relevant skills assessing authority is named in the right hand column. Charges for skills assessments vary, as do the requirements for a successful skills assessment. The Skills Assessment process is fraught with many pitfalls and is very expensive.
