Getting Started: Accessing the is Assurant s tool for resetting all passwords in one location. Passwords expire every 90 days. You will be notified prior to your passwords expiration that your passwords need to be reset. 01 Web Access Login From within your web browser, type pwreset.assurant.com in the address bar, then press enter. 02 Network ID Now enter your network login ID, then click Login. 03 Network Password Now enter your network password, then click Verify. 1 New User? Q&A You will be required to select and answer 3 pre-defined personal questions that are case-sensitive. Once you have finished, click Save. Forgot Password? Q&A You will need to answer at least 2 questions correctly, then click Verify. Keep in mind, the answers are case sensitive.
Changing Your Password Passwords expire every 90 days. You will be notified prior to your passwords expiration that your passwords need to be reset. NOTE: After changing your passwords you must reboot for the password reset process to complete. REQUIRED CRITERIA: must be 7 or 8 characters long must NOT contain your User ID, first or last name must NOT contain characters repeated more than 2 times (i.e. Bannner4) must NOT contain one of the following reserved words: (drop, insert, alter, create, delete, update, grant, truncate, exec, temporary, tablespace, default, quota, profile, identified, externally, globally, revoke, account, unlock, lock, cascade) must NOT be one of 10 previous passwords must NOT contain the following characters ( * & % $ @ ) include at least 1 numeric character and 1 alphanumeric character the first character must not be a number To change your password, select the Change Password option using the Password Management dropdown or by clicking the Password icon. 02 Self Service Password Reset Criteria Before you enter your new password, you must make sure your new password meets the required criteria. 2 03 Self Service Password Reset Password Enter your new password, then click Change Password. 04 Self Service Password Reset Status You will be presented with a status screen, notifying you of the password reset status for each target system. Click OK. NOTE: After changing your passwords you must reboot for the password reset process to complete.
How To Unlock Your Accounts If you have been locked out on any of your accounts you can unlock the accounts by using the Unlock Accounts feature. Select Unlock Accounts by using the Password Management dropdown or by clicking the Unlock Accounts icon. 02 Self Service Password Reset Unlock At the Unlock All Accounts Page, click Unlock All Accounts. 03 Self Service Password Reset Status Information You will be presented with a status information screen, showing your target systems, login id and an unlock status. Click Ok to continue. 3
How To View Your Target Systems If you would like to view your current system access you can do so by using the View Target Systems/System Access feature. Select View Target Systems by using the Password Management dropdown or by clicking the System Access icon. 02 Self Service Password Reset Unlock All the accounts you have access to will display in this screen. To return to the Maintenance screen, click Return. 4
How to Sync Your Cached Password from Home Before you reset your password via the you need to make sure your connected to the VPN. NOTE: After resetting your password you must lock and unlock the workstation with the new password to verify your password sync. 01 Lock Computer Security To lock your workstation, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select Lock Workstation. 02 Unlock Computer Security To unlock your computer, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and use your newly created password to login. XP Users, make sure you select Windows from the dropdown. 03 Log off the VPN Security To log off the VPN, click on the Yellow Padlock icon in the System Tray and click Sign Out. 04 Log on the VPN Security Using your newly created password, log on the VPN. If you are able to log on the VPN, your password sync was successful. If you are unable to log on, please contact your local Help Desk. 5 NOTE: If you fail to complete ALL steps, you will receive a warning about windows needing your current credentials within 10 to 15 minutes. If you receive this message, follow the required steps as shown above.
